The free MCP connector gives you basic, limited access to Datasite projects from your AI assistant. Datasite Connect extends that account-wide under one annual subscription plan, built to scale for teams working across multiple transactions. Your whole deal team gets consistent AI access across every authorized project and the ability to turn insight into supported Datasite actions, not just search. Additionally, your usage, your credit package (optional), and access are managed centrally by your admin.
Other VDR platforms limit you to the AI built into their own ecosystem. Standalone AI assistants are disconnected from your permissioned deal content, so teams end up copying documents out of the data room to use them. General content platforms like SharePoint or Box can connect to AI, but don’t carry your data room’s permissions and roles into that experience. Connect does, without you ever leaving your assistant.
Yes. Due to regulatory restrictions, users connecting from Hong Kong, China, or Brazil are not permitted to use the document search and interrogation capabilities through Datasite Connect.
